England and Manchester United star Phil Neville has singled out Saints fans for praise and believes the national team should keep touring around the country.

Speaking before England's 2-1 win over Slovakia at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium last night, the 26-year-old said he has been impressed by the support the national team has received since moving out of Wembley and started playing at various venues across the country. One of the other stadiums to host a match this season was St Mary's that saw England's 2-2 draw with Macedonia and Neville feels it would be great to keep on travelling around.

Neville also believes that there has not been an anti-United feeling which there was at time in Wembley.

He said: "A couple of years ago there was that reaction sometimes towards the end of the Wembley era but since going around the grounds the atmosphere has been fantastic.

"It is so refreshing to go to places like Southampton and Leicester where different fans are able to watch England and the atmosphere has been great. I'm all for keep going to different grounds."
