Awards should have gone to the following:
Closest shave: Power DJ Des Paul's head - smooth as a baby's behind.
Best jewellery: Ben from Intenso Project's big diamond earrings.
Rockiest chick: Maria Wilson - the UK's answer to Avril Lavigne.
Most minimal stage outfit: the bikini top worn by DJ Sammi's female vocalist.
Best choreography: Triple Eight and Blazin Squad - a draw.
Best use of midrift: Girls Aloud - cropped tops and combats and, by the looks of it, a few trips to the tanning salon.
Coolest, sexiest guy: Ashley Hamilton - son of heavily-tanned actor George, Ashley is Hollywood child and seems to see celebrity as his birth-right. He already has the swagger and image of rock star.
Most toned artists: Mis-Teeq - these girls are obviously no strangers to the gym.
Best pompon action: The Cheeky Girls, inevitably.
Highest fashion: Lisa Scott Lee and her backing ladies. Vest tops, cropped trousers and heels - not sure about the pink bra under the white top though.
Most humble: Another award for Mis-Teeq, who were hugely appreciative of the crowd and interacted by reading out the banners.
Quirkiest touch: An on-stage sofa for 'competition winning' fans. When Ashley Hamilton sat on the arm during his set, the three girls on the sofa became hysterically happy.
Most endearing smile: Billy Crawford.
Most provocative dancer: Jennifer Ellison. We are assuming the Brookside babe is clearly putting her energies into appealing to a male audience.
