This will be the second year of the revived Isle of Wight Festival - 33 years after the curtain came down on the original event.

Strangely the music and the fashions have come full circle, with 70s retro still very much the order of the day. Look at the latest women's fashions, wedge cork-heel sandals, bootcut jeans and floaty floral tops - could this be the summer of love?

Musically the hippies are back in town with some mellow stuff from the likes of The Thrills and Starsailor. Paul Weller is keeping the acoustic sound well up the bill, while Bryan Adams and The Darkness provide a harder edge.

The hippie ethos is also firmly intact with the festival organisers making this the first major rock event in Europe that is carbon neutral. This is an environmental-friendly move where trees will be planted to compensate for any damage done by carbon dioxide emissions caused by the festival.
