TIDWORTH is set to stage a festival on 12 July and it's pulling out all the stops to ensure people have a good time.
The all-day event will cater for a wide variety of interests.
Although it has the backing of lottery funding it aims to make enough money to secure it's future as an annual show with the long term aim of raising funds for schools in the area.
"It will help promote Tidworth as a place that gets things done," said Clarendon Junior School headteacher Alex Bostock. "Four venues will play a part."
There will be a school fete and scout sports day, lunchtime events at the leisure centre and a photographic competition at Tidworth College which offers cash prizes.
But it will be the Community Centre field that takes centre stage with stalls, a hog roast and a beer tent.
The world-famous Lucknow Band is expected to perform and a combined school choir has been rehearsing eight songs. In the evening the volume will increase when rock music will head the programme.
