IN a letter to clergy, clerks to parish councils and head teachers, new mayor of Test Valley Pat West has expressed her desire to meet as many residents as possible.
In the letter she wrote: "It has been a great honour for me to be elected mayor of the borough and I very much hope to have the opportunity to visit as many churches, parishes and schools throughout the borough during the coming 12 months.
"I hope to be in a position to accept as many invitations as you may care to send to my office and I look forward to meeting many of you in the months to come.
"I would particularly hope to be able to accept invitations to attend worship, either in the morning or the evening in any of the villages and towns in the borough and would love to visit as many schools as possible."
