A COOK from Bartlett Residential Home in Ludgershall will be skydiving 10,000 feet to raise money for the famine in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Mrs Yvonne West, of St Nicholas Close, was given the sky jump for her 50th birthday last year by her children. She thought it would be a great opportunity to provide vital funds for the famine through the Tearfund Orga-nisation.
In Ethiopia and Eritrea alone 14 million are either dying or facing starvation.
"It occurred to me that my work entails making nutritional meals for residents so why not use this jump to give life to the people who are desperate for food and water aid," said Mrs West who will be undertaking the jump on 21 June.
