THE HUNT is on to find the sexiest specs wearers in Eastleigh.
The town is in focus as celebrity Tara Palmer-Tom-kinson launches Specsavers Opticians' Look of 2003 modelling competition.
The contest is open to anyone aged 16 or above who wears specs - fashion glasses also apply.
The winner will scoop a year's modelling contracts with top UK agency ModelPlan. They will also win a two week all-inclusive holiday for two in the Caribbean courtesy of Going Places; £250 spending money; £250 of Almay skincare and make-up products and Specsavers' eyecare voucher worth £150.
Tara says: "You do not need bad eyesight to wear glasses. They can make a person look sexy or smart and are the perfect fashion accessory for many looks. Lots of people are wearing glasses for fashion nowadays."
Andrew Gerry, store director at Specsavers, Eastleigh, says: "These days wearing glasses is as much a fashion statement as it is an optical necessity and this competition is a fantastic opportunity for gorgeous young specs wearers to shine."
There will be seven regional finals during August and September and the competition will culminate in a glitzy final judged by Tara in London in November.
To enter pick up a form from the branch in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.
The competition closes on July 31.
