THEY were sampling everything from clay modelling and designing stained glass windows to playing with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and getting on the dance floor to rock 'n' roll at Shakespeare County Infant School's creative arts week.
A full five-day programme was lined up for youngsters at the Shakespeare Road, Eastleigh, school with the first day being devoted to musical activities including workshops with members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Dance day incorporated jive, old time dancing, line dancing and country dancing and drama day saw a wide range of activities throughout the school.Painting to music, clay modelling, printing, computer art and designing stained glass windows provided a less strenuous interlude before the final day.
Head teacher Jane Skinner said the week had been fun, adding: "It gives them a chance to experience different things and realise their own talents.''
