VOLUNTEERS are drumming up extra pairs of hands through an information stand in Fareham town centre.
To mark Volunteers' Week, people who already devote their spare time to good causes are hoping to sign up more volunteers for charities across Fareham.
The town's MP Mark Hoban was on hand to officially open the display that had been co-ordinated by Barrie Hill of Fareham Community Action.
Over the next two weeks, which also includes Carers' Week, ten different organisations will be promoting their own aspect of community involvement.
The initiative is being supported by Fareham Shopping Centre, which has given over a corner of the centre outside Boots for the volunteering display. Volunteers' Week ends tomorrow. Carers' Week runs from tomorrow until June 14.
