It's time to party! Power in the Park, Southampton's very own free outdoor pop festival, is back for the ninth year running - and even better than ever. ANDREW WHITE previews the line up at this year's event
ATOP line-up of current chart stars, from new favourites like Busted and Girls Aloud to established acts such as Melanie C and Dannii Minogue, has been assembled by organisers 103.2 Power FM to entertain an expected crowd of 65,000 pop fans.
Southampton Common will be transformed into the south's hottest music venue for the afternoon as almost 20 top pop acts take to the stage to belt out their best-known tunes.
Now something of a tradition in Southampton, Power in the Park is a fab day out for all the family - whatever the weather (and this year, unlike last, the sun is promising to shine!).
So put on your dancing shoes, grab your Busted poster free in tomorrow's Daily Echo and get down to Southampton Common - it's the only place to be this Sunday!
