A CHARITY auction held at Overton's St Mary's Hall has raised around £1,100 for animal charity HART Wildlife Rescue.
Several highly collectable items were among the lots for sale, including two NatWest money box pigs, a 1950s doll's house and pieces of Carnival glassware.
Record collections and works from Charles Dickens, Dennis Wheatley and a selection of novels signed by best-selling author Joanna Trollope quickly found new homes and a complete set of Encyclopaedia Britannica were snapped up.
"It was a fantastic evening," said organiser Anne Corrigan, wildlife care assistant at HART.
"We were extremely lucky to have Bob Herbert as our auctioneer and so many generous donations from our supporters."
Many businesses and attractions supplied goods and offered promises such as meals, free entry and memberships.
"It was a very good effort for a good cause," said auctioneer Bob Herbert, formerly of the Andover Saleroom.
All the money raised will be put towards the general running costs of the centre.
