NO WONDER young Daisy Stroud has got a smile on her face - she's just won herself one of the best places in the house at this Sunday's Power in the Park.
The ten-year-old schoolgirl will be jumping up and down to her favourite music in the VIP Pit at the free pop concert on Southampton Common after winning a competition in the Daily Echo.
Daisy, of Chessel Crescent, Bitterne, has won a pack of four VIP Pit wristbands donated by organisers 103.2 Power FM.
This will give her an unrivalled view of some of the most famous pop stars in the country as she takes her place right in front of the Power in the Park stage.
Hundreds of readers desperate to see their favourite pop stars up close entered the Daily Echo competition - but Daisy's postcard was the first to be pulled from the hat yesterday.
"I was really excited when I found out. I had just walked through the door when my mum told me.
"I started screaming," said Daisy, a pupil at St Patrick's School, Woolston.
Daisy, a regular visitor to Power in the Park, said she would be taking her mum Bernadette, dad Dave, and best friend into the VIP pit with her.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Girls Aloud and Busted the most," she said.
"I go to Power in the Park every year. Last year I stayed right until the end, even though it was pouring with rain!"
