St John the Baptist Church, Shedfield, is holding an auction of promises and gifts on June 21st, at Waltham Chase Village Hall.
Lots range from holiday accommodation on the Isle of Wight, to an MoT for a family car.
If you've ever wanted to ring the church bells, this could be your chance, with the bellringers offering an introductory lesson. There's a cruise for two in the Solent, or dinner with wine at New Place, Shedfield -the auction can also provide the babysitter! For parents wanting to give their children something extra to think about, how about some maths, cricket or cycle proficiency coaching? This might even be the time to get round to writing a will-two solicitors are offering to do the drafting.
Organiser, Ruth Schofield, a St John's regular, said: "Those interested in learning a skill or improving a hobby can try playing the church organ, a fun Latin lesson, personal fitness training, tennis, patchwork, model making, even learning how to make the most of your mobile phone."
There are also gifts ranging from Wickham wine, marmalade and cakes to a flowering tree, a load of logs and woodchips for the garden. All funds will go towards the building of the parish study centre which will be opened by the Bishop of Portsmouth in September.
