It was medals and personal bests all round for City of Southampton swimmers competing at the Bournemouth Designated Meet at the weekend.
Hannah Glasspool, 14, and Charlotte Slater, 12, came away with four golds, two silvers and two bronze medals between them.
Glasspool won gold in the 200m butterfly (2.48.33) and 200m backstroke (2.32.33), silver in the 50m backstroke (33.71) and bronze in the 100m backstroke (1.11.55).
Slater achieved gold in the 200m butterfly (2.36.05) for her age group and then qualified for the open final where she came fifth (2.34.64), increasing her national qualifying time by 5.5 seconds.
She also won gold in the 100m butterfly (1.11.75), silver in the 50m butterfly (32.66) and bronze in the 50m backstroke (35.34).
Other gold medals were won by Emma Macey, 14, in 100m butterfly (1.09.10) and 50m butterfly (31.85).
There were silvers for Luke Horswell, 15, in 200m backstroke (2.24.65) and Natalie Robinson, 15, in 50m breaststroke (40.44).
Bronzes were won by Nicolas Edwards, 13, (50m butterfly, 32.70) and Natalie Robinson, 15, (100m breaststroke 1.26.99).
For Kirsty Ledingham, 14, Jamie Cole, 12, and Natasha Day, 13, it was their first time competing at a designated open meet. All swam very well.
Day achieved personal best times in her 400m freestyle (5.05.46), 100m freestyle (1.12.15) and 200m freestyle (2.29.91). Ledingham swam personal bests in the 100m freestyle (1.09.80), 50m butterfly (37.95) and 100m backstroke (1.23.40).
Amy Wheeler achieved a number of personal best times, along with David Mugridge, Samuel Sharpe and Zach Shivers Stephens.
