Peter Harrison has confirmed the appointment of Andy Green as skipper of Synergia 40 in the Sailability Admiral's Cup.

The Southampton sailor's experience includes two America's Cup campaigns, the latest of which saw him as starting helmsman for GBR Challenge, Britain's first AC entry for 14 years.

Green also won the recent 2003 Laureus Regatta Match Racing event. He will be skipper of the Synergia 40 for the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club entry, a team made up of 50 per cent disabled sailors.

The Admiral's Cup takes place in Cowes on July 10 with eight other teams entered.

Sailing with Green will be 17-year-old Hannah Stodel, former Young Sailor of the Year in 1998 and who has since become a prominent example of how disabled sailors can compete on a level with able-bodied competitors.

The second boat in the Cowes Corinithinan YC team is Harrison's Farr 50, Chernikeeff, skippered by Para-Olympic gold medallist Andy Cassell.
