Hurstbourne Priors 208-6 beat Colden Common 120
Hurstbourne Priors maintained their impressive start to the season with maximum points at Colden Common, writes Mark Hamson.
Priors got off to a poor start, losing Oakton without scoring and Carter for 16. However, Hamson's 42 (six fours) and Shahianian's 84 (seven fours and four sixes) took the game away from Common with impressive shots and good running.
Shahianian dominated by continually peppering the midwicket boundary, but when he was finally removed it was left to Walker (10*) and Budd (24*) to finish the innings. Page removed Kelly in the first over and ripped open the top order by removing Millington (11) and Saville (8). With Geoff Rampton back behind the stumps Priors put in another impressive fielding display. It was then left to the in-form Carter to wrap the game up by taking 5-26 off his 11 overs and leaving Colden Common 89 runs short.
