SOUTHAMPTON design consultancy 3 Men & A Surfboard, has sponsored Hamble-based Chapel tristars - a top junior triathlon club - with a funky new website.
Simon Heron, a director of 3 Men, said: "It will be a major asset for the club, helping them forge new partnerships with other triathlon clubs."
One week after its launch the British Triathlon Association has approached the club to ask if the site can become the central information resource for downloading junior race results.
"As these clubs are run by unpaid volunteers investing huge amounts of time in the kids, helping reduce the massive amounts of post and paperwork involved must be good news!" said Simon.
Adrian Butt, club chairman, said: "There are some amazing features including an area where kids can ask questions online and even post confidential questions that they may be embarrassed to ask in front of their mates, as well as easy-to-download training times and other information. But probably the cleverest part is the news page where we can add the latest stories, photos and important information ourselves without having any technical knowledge. We hope this will act as a great community area to showcase the achievements of the children to themselves and people outside the club."
