WITH some of the most desirable views in the city, a penthouse in the new Riviera-style development at Ocean Village will set you back a cool £1m.
Only five of the luxurious 'sky apartments', offering a birds eye view of some of the most thrilling national and international yachting events on the sporting calendar, are available.
So it's no surprise that already there is a waiting list of 12 wealthy hopefuls - even though only two have been built so far.
Situated on two storeys with three bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and a large balcony, the apartments will offer unrivalled views across Southampton Water and the ocean beyond.
But for those who have not got the cash for a sky apartment, there are also slightly more modest two- and three-bedroom apartments available.
Yesterday saw the launch of the next stage of the Admiral's Quay development with flats in the eight-storey Sundowner and five-storey Mistral blocks becoming available.
Combined, the blocks will contain 53 apartments and so far 30 have been put on the market, with prices starting at £168,000.
Most of the apartments come with a generous balcony as well as elevated private communal courtyard areas. The six apartment blocks at Admiral's Quay, which will comprise 441 apartments, are to be named after famous winds.
Sundowner is named after a warm down-slope wind that periodically blows on the California coast near Santa Barbara. Mistral is the most famous of the Mediterranean winds. The apartments in Sundowner and Mistral are being marketed with FPDSavills in Brunswick Place, Southampton.
It is hoped that the development, by Wilson Bowden City Homes, will be finished in the next couple of years.

The contemporary fully-fitted kitchens come complete with stainless steel appliances, as well as stylish bathrooms and en-suites with white fittings, chrome taps and ceramic wall tiles.
