RON Upfield's electrical shop at Bishop's Waltham has landed one of the industry's top awards as the Euronics dealer of the year.

Ron has been in the electrical retailing business throughout his working life and his experience and knowledge of the industry is well respected.

His small compact shop tucked away in the Hampshire countryside at Bishop's Waltham, where he operates as an independent shopkeeper and as a member of the Euronics buying group, attracts not only local business, but customers from all over southern England, and he counts among his clients major corporate businesses.

Organisers say this year's contest for the prestigious title of dealer of the year attracted a high standard of applicants including previous winners.

But the sponsoring trade publication ERT Weekly says there was no doubt from the panel of judges that Mr Upfield deserved to be this year's winner.
