HAMPSHIRE'S ex-Royal Air Force staff will be marching through Romsey on Sunday afternoon.
Romsey's first citizen Mike Curtis will review the parade as makes it way past Lord Palmerston's statue in the Market Place.
Hampshire's lord lieutenant Mary Fagan and borough mayor Pat West will accompany the town mayor on the platform. The parade marks the 60th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Association's foundation. "Primarily it was set up as a welfare charity for ex-RAF men and woman. We provide support for anyone who has RAF connections," said World War Two veteran Charlie Butcher secretary of the Hampshire region of the RAFA.
Standard bearers from Romsey Air Training Corps will also be in the parade. It is due to form at Romsey School at about 2.30pm and it will then make its way into the town centre. A celebration service will also be held at Romsey Abbey.
