Salisbury racing driver Richard Stanton stepped up his bid for the TVR Tuscan Challenge crown with two strong podium finishes at Silverstone over the bank holiday.
Stanton powered his Dewalt Motorsport TVR to third place in the Sprint Race then went two places better to win the Feature Race from Philip Keen.
Stanton's old TVR Tuscan team-mate Steve Hyde from Winchester was a third finisher in the GT Championship race. There was disappointment, though, for Southampton youngster Ricky Cole and his team-mate Peter Le Bas. After qualifying their Cevrolet Corvette fourth for the GT race, they went out after just nine laps.
