WINCHESTER students have scooped a top publishing prize after their college yearbook was voted best in the country.
Ten pupils from Peter Symonds College produced the 120-page colour yearbook as a photographic record of the school year.
So impressed were publishers Walsworth Yearbooks Ltd that they named the Peter Symonds book best out of hundreds submitted from around the UK.
Student and general editor of the book, Lizzie Skegg, said: "This year we've tried to include all aspects in the life of a student at the college.
"Everything from exotic trips to Morroco and the Bahamas as well as local trips to Marwell and Calshot."
The efforts of the students were recognised with a special dinner for which two of the production bosses at Walsworth Yearbooks Ltd flew down from Edinburgh to present each member of the team with a certificate in recognition of their contributions.
