SAINTS chairman Rupert Lowe declared himself "delighted" that his former manager Dave Jones is back in the Premiership.
Jones yesterday guided Wolves into the top flight after a 19-year absence after thrashing Sheffield United 3-0 in the First Division play-off final.
That meant Jones is back in the Premiership for the first time since Lowe replaced him with Glenn Hoddle, having given him leave to concentrate on fighting the child abuse allegations of which he was subsequently cleared.
Lowe said: "I'm delighted that Dave's back up.
" I wrote to him to wish him all the best last week and watched the game. Wolves played very well, it was their day.
"I would think Dave is delighted to be playing us next season."
Jones said: "When I came to Wolves it wasn't just about rebuilding a club, it was about rebuilding my life.
"I've been building, not just to get into the Premiership but to stay there.
"When I came here we were relegation fodder and now in two years we are in the Premiership.
"I am pleased for everybody at the club and - this might sound greedy - I am pleased for me."
