SHOPPERS were put through their paces at a Fareham supermarket when fitness instructors staged an outdoor keep fit class.
Although some took up the challenge in the bank holiday sunshine, most were content to watch the hour-long routine in the car park of Sainsbury's Broadcut branch in Wallington.
Along with raising fitness levels, the stunt, staged by Sainbury's and Fitness First, also raised cash for children's hospice Naomi House.
Spokeswoman for the supermarket Lucy Gladding said: "We have worked together before on a number of projects. This one is about
keeping fit as well as supporting a local children's charity."
