Hard rockers and former winners of Kerrang!'s Best Unsigned Band readers' poll, Breed 77 provide an innovative amalgam of rock and eastern musical influences. They relocated from Gibraltar to the UK in 1997.
After years of mismanagement and line-up changes they have now secured a five album deal. They have a considerable following across Europe and in Australia and earlier this month released La Ultima Hora (The Final Hour).
The band's eponymous debut album was released at the end of 2001 to huge critical acclaim. Kerrang said of the release, "This debut is beautifully soaked in the kind of contemporary emotion too often displaced by those whose sound is preened to make a mosh-pit bounce with no consideration given to having the hairs on the back of your neck snap up straight. A valuable, laudable effort."
Support is provided by metalsters Kill II This and Calm Insanity - finalists in the National Battle Of The Bands 2001.
