SIMPLY Red will be entertaining music fans with their smooth soul sound in an outdoor pop concert at Beaulieu in July.
The chart-topping band fronted by Mick Hucknall will be performing in the grounds of Palace House on Sunday, July 27.
They are the final act in a weekend of musical delights at Beaulieu, which also includes hit West End show The Rat Pack, which recreates the hits of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, on Friday, July 25, and a Proms-style performance by the London Gala Orchestra the next night, featuring soprano Naomi Harvey and tenor Lynton Atkinson. Simply Red have been stars of the pop world since the release of Money's Too Tight to Mention, in 1985.
Since then they have released more than 30 singles, including the top ten hits Holding Back the Years, If You Don't Know Me By Now and Stars, and their 1995 number one, Fairground.
Mick and the band are currently promoting their tenth studio album, Home, which has seen them return to their R'n'B roots.
They are set to play a mixture of old hits and new songs in the beautiful lakeside setting of Beaulieu, with support from Brazilian bossa nova star Bebel Gilberto. Tickets are £37.50. Doors open at 6.30pm and the concert starts at 7.45pm. For tickets call 08700 600 100.
