Milford on Sea, where else would I be?
The island, the sea,
The needles, the sea,
The gulls, the sea,
The yachts, the sea,
The ferries, the sea,
The trawlers, the sea,
The steamers, the sea,
Born on the Prairies,
Far from the sea,
In Canada, my homeland,
Where I should really be,
But I love the coastline
Of Milford on Sea.
By Ida M Pressley, Milford on Sea
Daily Echo poet-in-residence, Polly Clark, writes: This poem takes a simple idea and makes a lovely, song-like poem from it.
