DANNI Minogue will be joining the party on Southampton Common next month as a host of chart stars get in tune for the latest Power in the Park music festival.
The pop princess and sister of Kylie has had something of a fitful recording career, but recently had a big hit with Put the Needle on It. She was announced today as the latest big name to join the line-up for the ninth annual pop concert, due to be staged by 103.2 Power FM on Sunday June 8.
Also revealed today was young singer-guitarist Michelle Branch.
Danni and Michelle join eight chart acts revealed over the last two weeks. The complete line-up for the event is expected to be revealed by the end of next week.
So far confirmed for the concert are: ex-Steps singer Lisa Scott-Lee, DJ Sammy, Melanie C, Girls Aloud, Kym Marsh, Mis-Teeq, Jennifer Ellison and Tripple 8.
More than 50,000 pop fans are expected to descend on Southampton Common for the concert, which runs from 12 noon to 4pm.
See the Daily Echo on Friday for more announcements.
