IT was the little and large show as Southampton's latest cruise ship, the 77,499-ton Adonia arrived in port for the first time, dwarfing a passing Red Funnel catamaran off Town Quay today.
Adonia is now alongside the city's Western Docks together with the identical P&O Cruises' ship, Oceana, ready for tomorrow's spectacular double royal naming ceremony.
The Princess Royal is to name Oceana while her daughter, Zara Phillips, will christen Adonia.
Spectators were all along the city's waterfront catching a first glimpse of Adonia as she made her entrance into the docks after a transatlantic crossing from America, where she was previously based.
