Hampshire recovered from 10-8 down overnight to beat Staffordshire with some super darts.
It was, though, a weekend of achievements and frustrations.
There was the frustration at some of the less than good darts and frustration at missing out on two of the titles open to Hampshire teams.
Those frustrations saw the Ladies B team claim joint top spot with Cheshire and Yorkshire. But it was the Tykes who took the title because they had won one more game.
Just one more winning game on Saturday and Hampshire would have won yet another Ladies B title.
Frustrations, too, for the Men's B who showed so much promise and yet lost 7-5 when a big win was in their hands.
That was the difference between finishing third and fourth.
But all praise to the Ladies B for a superb season and that very close finish that so nearly won them yet more honours.
They may only provide six players out of the 36 but the points they have won contributed greatly to Hampshire's high finish of third overall.
The Ladies A side won 5-1, a super way for ladies boss Brenda Cummings to complete her 200th game in charge.
Now for the Men's A frustrating achievement. Had they at least drawn with Yorkshire last month, they would have won their title.
For the ladies A winning games came from Pam Hayman, Jane Monaghan, Jo Sibley, Sue Kerridge and Laura Power.
But the highlight of the weekend was the drawn game on Saturday. For that secured an equal top spot.
Winning sets for the ladies B came from Kerry McGuire, Mandy Keith and Sue Lowther.
Hampshire had too many big guns out for Staffordshire in the Men's A match and they had wins from Steve Ballard, Paul Hogan, Paul Gibbs, James Wade, Steve Phipps, Doogie Ralph, Steve Musson and Aaron Turner.
For the Men's B team, who lost, it was a frustrating afternoon that showed in some of the low scoring sets.
But there were wins for Pete Castle, Steve Greenough, Martin Harper, Sam Rooney and Danny Ballard.
Trophyman Player of the Match Awards: Men's A - Steve Phipps 30.06, Men's B Steve Greenough 26.37, Ladies A - Jane Monaghan 24.80, Ladies B - Kerry McGuire 17.77.
On the day that Hampshire were completing a win over Staffordshire, they lost one of their stalwarts when Tony Kitcher passed away.
Tony was arguably one of the best players to represent Hampshire from the New Forest area and gave many years of great service to the county.
He continued to support Hampshire in their fundraising right up to the last game, such was his support.
County organiser Frank Branscombe said: "Those who remember Tony will know that he was lovely man and a dedicated Hampshire player who loved darts. He will be sorely missed."
