MORE than £1,250 was raised in aid of the Alexander Trust with a sponsored bike ride at Thruxton Circuit at the weekend.
Chloe Plummer, aged eight, of Marchant Road in Andover who suffers from Cerebral palsy led the sponsored bike ride. She was riding her new bike bought for her last year with local donations.
Money was raised at a Halloween Party to buy Chloe a special bike but donations were overwhelming and she received two cheques which covered the cost of the bike.
So Chloe's mum Jo Plummer and family friend Paula Chandler decided to set up a trust with the rest of the cash to help other local children with learning difficulties.
Paula Chandler, founder of the Alexander Trust said: "The turn out on Saturday was fantastic. We had between 25 to 30 people of all ages involved."
