Winchester and Central Hampshire Community Health Council (CHC) will be holding its annual meeting and its very last meeting in public at Winchester Guildhall on Monday at 7.30pm.
CHCs, the patients' watchdog body in the NHS since their establishment in 1974, are to be abolished on 1 September. Members will be reviewing their activity over the past year and agreeing a report on their work plan. There will also be information about the new Commission for Public and Patient Involvement For-ums, which will eventually replace CHCs.
Another agenda item is HealthFit.
This project is set up by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Strategic Health Authority to discuss new ways to deliver local services in future.
