WHITCHURCH Silk Mill supported 'Mills on Air' on Sunday when Andover Radio Amateurs Club broadcast from the historic building.
The weekend was organised by the Denby Dale Amateur Radio Society and SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) to promote awareness of the buildings and it was the first time the Silk Mill and ARAC joined together to take part in the event.
Throughout the day, the club contacted almost 30 stations - 15 of which were other mills taking part.
Event organiser Rick Keens said: "It went very well.
"The atmospheric conditions were not as good as they could have been otherwise we could have made more contact, but it was very successful and the people at the sSilk mill made us very welcome."
Rick now hopes the club and the silk mill will take part in next year's event and will be applying for a certificate of achievement from organisers which they will present to the mill.
