John Crockford hasn't given up on giving Karl Harris a good run for his money in the British Supersport Championship.
The Southampton road-racer has been off the winning pace in the last two rounds at Thruxton and Oulton Park.
Harris, with a second at Thruxton and a decisive victory at Oulton Park, now has a commanding lead in the championship aboard the factory Honda.
And an extremely quick Tenkata Honda has entered the fray in the hands of former World Supersports campaigner Dean Thomas from Australia.
But Crockford, whose Padgett Yamaha was plagued by gear selector problems at Oulton Park, still believes he can get back into contention for the title starting at Knockhill this weekend.
"It's one of my favourite circuits," smiles Crockford. "I've won on my last two visits there.
"Harris looks strong but I have a competitive bike with the Padgett Honda and I'm confident I can get back on the pace."
