Would you like to have a close-up view of the spectacular double naming ceremony of the P&O Cruises' superliners Oceana and Adonia in Southampton next week?
SS Shieldhall, the last working coastal passenger and cargo steamer, will be cruising Southampton Water on the evening of the Royal event and the charity that now cares for the vessel would like to invite two people on board for the occasion.
The 1,792-ton ship will leave the port at 7pm on Wednesday, May 21 in plenty of time for the naming ceremony performed by the Princess Royal and her daughter Zara Phillips, which will culminate in a glittering fireworks display over the ships in the city's Western Dock.
To have a chance of winning the two tickets on the SS Shieldhall, which will include a buffet, all you have to do is answer the following question and then send your entry (no e-mails), with your name, address and telephone number, to Keith Hamilton, Shieldhall Competition, Southern Daily Echo, Newspaper House, Test Lane, Redbridge, Southampton, SO16 9JX to reach us by Saturday, May 17.
Q: What is the tonnage of SS Shieldhall?
The first correct answer drawn from the entries will receive the two tickets.
