business Link Wessex, the independent source of business advice, is helping small and medium-sized businesses in Hampshire to be more environmentally friendly and improve business performance.
A series of seminars later this month will help all businesses, regardless of the sector in which they operate, to realise the impacts they are making on the environment and understand how by addressing these they can increase efficiency and save money.
Business Link Wessex is running two half-day workshops in conjunction with The Environment Centre, explaining environmental legislation and environment management systems.
Business Link Wessex environmental adviser Anna Frizzell, said: "Virtually all businesses with an EMS save money through reductions in raw material use, energy and water consumption and waste production.
"In addition to cost savings, an EMS can also put businesses in a better position to supply companies.
"A locally based survey has shown that 46 per cent of businesses questioned have been asked about their environmental performance by customers or in tender contracts."
Delegates can opt to attend either, or both, of the workshops taking place in Fareham on Wednesday, May 21. Each half-day workshop costs £55 +VAT (£64.63). The Environment Centre SIEnA members are eligible for a discounted price of £40 +VAT (£47). Delegates can attend both workshops for £90 +VAT (£105.75) or £60.00 +VAT (£70.50) for SIEnA members.
