Two Saints stars revisited their old stamping ground when they launched the latest showhomes at The Dell, the prestigious development by Barratt Homes on the site of the historic, former home of Southampton FC.
James Beattie and Claus Lundekvam received a standing ovation at the event which marked the opening of the aptly named 'The Premier' on The Terrace, a row of four-storey homes.
After a VIP tour by Steve Wilks, managing director of Barratt Homes (Southampton), the Premiership stars said they were extremely impressed by the stylish accommodation on offer.
These are some of the most desirable new homes to be built at The Dell and indeed in the centre of the city. The Dell development is fast becoming one of the success stories of the south.
The range of apartments and town houses have met with unprecedented demand. The first two phases have already sold out and, in all, 144 of the 228 homes have been purchased by eager buyers.
Prices start from around £360,000, and as an added incentive for the launch weekend, Barratt will be making deals available to prospective buyers under their 'Ultimate Offer' scheme.
Mr Wilks was thrilled to see the Premiership leading striker at the development; "We had many visitors and being able to meet both James and Claus personally was the icing on the cake. They were great ambassadors for the club and I think a great time was had by all," he said.
