The Lamb's championship efforts in Division Two of the Lyndhurst Working Men's Club League could provide some real match entertainment next season.

The Nomandsland pub side proved they will not be daunted by promotion to the top tier next season when they came up against the might of Division One champions Brocks FC in the team Knock-out final.

Playing the best of seven sets, Lamb set the pace with victory from Paul Proudley.

Ken Rostigina got Brocks back on equal terms but after that it was Lamb all the way.

Keith McGinty, Mike West and A Dunning won the next three to seal the win and lay down the gauntlet for next season.

In the Consolation Cup it was Emery Downers who ran out winners with a last-game win from Brian Noble after the two sides had reached 3-3.

Rupert Eldridge (Poachers) hit a maximum on his way to winning the Captain's Cup. Beaten finalist was Andy Stevens (Emery Downers).

Paulton's Cricket Club star player Lee Ward rounded off an unbeaten season with success in the side's annual knock-out.

Ward went through the season without suffering defeat - winning a staggering 22 league matches and only dropping four legs along the way.
