FOUR Andover police officers have been congratulated for their work above and beyond the call of duty by Supt Mark Chatterton in his latest round of divisional commanders awards.
Pc Mark Baulcomb and Pc John MacDonald were honoured for their work solving a series of break-ins in Stockbridge in March.
The officers searched the area and found two men nearly a mile away, who they arrested. They worked after duty to produce lengthy documentation and returned early the next day to make a thorough search of the area.
Pc Ken Crosby managed to separate two fighting males during a domestic incident involving a knife. Pc Crosby also arrested a shoplifter he spotted in Lidl while off-duty. Probationer WPc Nikki Gevork, along with a colleague, were the first to arrive at a domestic incident involving an argument between a man and a woman. The woman, who was in a hysterical state, was armed with two knives and attacked the man. The officers brought the situation under control and proceeded to administered first aid to the woman.
