FOR two members of Test Valley Borough Council attending meetings at Beech Hurst will be something of a family affair.
In the elections sitting Harewood councillor James Neal was successful in getting re-elected and will now be joined by his son Carl who took one of the seats in Andover's Harroway Ward.
Fortunately for the sake of harmonious family relations Mr Borg-Neal, a 38-year-old family man, is a member of the Conservative Party just like his father.
The pairing is thought to be the first time a father and son have served on the authority in it 30 year history.
Fellow Harroway councillor and deputy mayor Pat West said her new fellow ward colleagues provided a blend of youth and experience.
"Carl provides the youth while Brian Page provides the experience," she said.
"We were a brilliant campaigning team - the gang of three."
