SEVENTEEN-year-old Kieron Kelly was one of the stars of the show as Team Solent's B team got their Southern Men's League Division 1 campaign off to a winning start at Sutcliffe Park in Eltham.
The south coast club edged the verdict by just half a point from London giants Shaftesbury Barnet.
Teenage thrower Kelly won the shot-put with a 13.74-metre heave and backed that up with seconds in the B discus and B hammer.
Field colleague Adam Richardson was another key contributor to Solent's success, gathering 29 points from eight events.
Match result: Team Solent 105.5, Shaftesbury Barnet 105, Harrow 104, Windsor 99.5, Cambridge Harriers 92.
