CULINARY delights served every day to satisfied punters is something that Therese Gisbourne takes in her stride.
Since taking over The Fisherman's Rest pub in Fareham six months ago with husband Mick, her regular menu and specials, including lemon sole and fillet steak, have proved popular choices.
Now Therese's efforts have been rewarded after she won second place in the Champion Food Manager of the Year category at the Laurel League of Champions awards.
The 46-year-old beat off competition from 600 other hopefuls to claim the coveted position.
"I am over the moon," she said. "I love my job and seeing customers who are satisfied. It's lovely when people comment on how delicious their food is. Everybody gets a boost when customers are happy."
Before joining the Mill Lane pub, Therese worked at The Seagull in Portchester.
