Pride of Bilbao, the 37,583-ton ferry that links Hampshire with northern Spain, has celebrated the tenth anniversary of her service on the route.
During the past decade Pride of Bilbao has clocked up more than one million miles and carried more than two million passengers on its twice-weekly run from Portsmouth to the port of Bilbao.
The ship, originally built in Turku, Finland, carries a box of scientific sensors, that has been installed in the vessel's engine room, to collect data about the state of the seas, which is then beamed by satellite to Southampton Oceanography Centre in the city's Eastern Docks.
Pride of Bilbao, which takes 29 hours to complete the journey to Spain, has space for 2,500 passengers and 600 cars.
