TESCO in River Way, Andover showed its support for customer's personal well-being recently when it staged a health promotion day at the store.
Nationally, Tesco's has been running a successful healthy eating programme at its stores, utilising trained teams of top nutritionists who give on-the-spot advice to customers concerning their health and nutritional needs.
During the day at Andover particular emphasis was put on 'Gimme Five', a bid to ensure people eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. This is a proven way of helping to prevent the development of cancer cells. Tesco store manager, Trevor Osgood said: "Tesco is keen to promote a healthier lifestyle to its customers.
"As well as providing our own healthy food options, we always have readily available literature offering all types of nutritional advice on the benefits of eating certain foods," he said. "It's important that we take care of ourselves," said Trevor.
