THESE City of Southampton Swimming Club members are back from their Malta training camp with a sack of medals earned at an international open meet.
They trained hard for four hours a day in the outdoor 50m pool, the top swimmers covering 70,000 metres, the entire travelling party took part in a mixture of events at the meeting and it paid off with personal best times and medals.
Angela Fu (13) collected gold for her age group in the 50m breaststroke (36.95) and the 200m freestyle (2.18.01), silver in 100m freestyle (1.05.17) and bronze in 100m butterfly (1.18.28).
Luke Horswell (15) was second in the 50m backstroke (33.42) and 100m freestyle (1.01.63) and won bronze in the 200m freestyle (2.15.91).
Luke Clewlow won the 200m breaststroke (2.54.71) while Samuel Sharpe (12) was third in the 200m freestyle (2.26.03).
In the 100m butterfly, Emma Macey (14) won (1.11.11) and Charlotte Slater (12) was third (1.16.54) in their age groups.
Sarah Brown (14) collected gold in the 50m breaststroke (39.57) and Natalie Robinson bronze in the 50m backstroke (36.12).
In the 200m freestyle, Amy Wheeler (14) collected silver (2.25.12) and Linda Webber bronze (2.42.98) for their age groups. Astrid Foreman also collected bronze for her 50m backstroke (40.47).
The swimmers now prepare for the Southern County Championships at Crystal Palace.
