DO It Yourself store B&Q, which has its headquarters at Chandler's Ford, is the first to nail a top award in fire safety training.
Sponsored by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, it recognises the importance of fire safety training for offices, factories and stores in Hampshire.
Presenting the engraved glass trophy, Hampshire's Chief Fire Officer Malcolm Eastwood said: "This award is an innovative step forward in the process of helping companies to make their workplaces safer by having effective safety procedures that are vigorously implemented."
Mark Cammies, B&Q's director of construction, said: "At B&Q we do take safety seriously and put a lot of effort into this area. Working with the professionals within the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has been both challenging and satisfying for us and we are grateful to them for their guidance over the last few years."
