Eastleigh boxing prospect Jason Rogers produced an awesome display in Weymouth this week.
Rogers was up against a dangerous opponent 'Robbo' Robinson from Torbay who came to the ring with an experienced pedigree of 36 bouts.
But the Eastleigh man came out with great determination against his older and more experienced opponent and caught Robinson with some clean rights in the opening exchanges.
But Robinson found his range and began to catch Rogers with some very good left hooks to force an even round.
Corner man Dean Bailey instructed his man to keep it tighter in defence and look for hooks behind his lead hand.
The second round went to plan with both boxers coming out fast, but Rogers the more aggressive.
Halfway into the round he pinned Robinson in the corner and let go with a hard right hand, followed with a left hook, forcing the referee to step in and give Robinson a standing count.
Rogers continued with his pressure and caught Robinson with some great combinations. The Torbay boxer staged a mini-comeback but was again caught and suffered another standing count.
In the third and final round Rogers looked stronger and stronger, catching Robinson again and again with combinations of right and left hooks to finish on top and a unanimous points winner.
