ARE YOUR kids more used to lying on the settee watching telly than running around on the sports pitch?

Do they favour computer games to kicking a football or taking to the athletics track?

If so, the Daily Echo Southampton Team Training Sessions could be just the answer.

The Hampshire Youth Games will take place on Saturday, June 7, in Aldershot, based at the Army sports facilities.

The search is now on for the youngsters who will represent Southampton in a whole range of sports including athletics, badminton, basketball, hockey, netball, rugby, swimming, table tennis and tennis.

Training sessions are starting all across the city, so now's the chance to take part in the biggest youth sport event in Hampshire.

All training will be free of charge and you do not have to be an expert or have played the sport before, just come along and experience the training, the excitement and the festival atmosphere of the event.
