A TEENAGER from the Isle of Wight was due before magistrates today, charged with the murder of taxi driver Paul Jacques Rosenberg.
Officers charged unemployed 19-year-old Lee Albert Arnold, from Bellview Road in Cowes, at the weekend.
Mr Rosenberg, 56, was found dead in the early hours of Thursday morning on Newport Road in Cowes, after an attack left him with fatal head injuries.
Five people including Arnold were later arrested by the 40-strong police team handling the murder enquiry, though the four others, two men and two women, were subsequently released on police bail.
Mr Rosenberg, who worked for the Newport-based private-hire firm 3C's, had been driving a red Ford Mondeo estate in the Cowes area between 12.30am and 1.30am on Thursday morning.
Detectives leading the investigation into the murder, headed by Southampton-based Det Insp Jason Hogg, are still urging anyone who may have seen the attack to get in touch with them at Ryde police station on 0845 045 4545 or via the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
Arnold, who has been remanded into custody, was due to appear before Newport Magistrates later today.
