POLICE are warning women to be on their guard after a second indecent assault in two months in Wickham.
The incident took place at 3pm on Wednesday when a woman was walking along a footpath behind houses in Wykeham Field.
She was approached from behind and grabbed by a man who put his hand over her mouth and his knee into her back.
After pulling the woman to the ground, he continued to hold his hand over her mouth while indecently assaulted her.
The woman struggled and managed to fight her attacker off before running away.
The previous attack happened on February 24 in the same area of Wickham and at about the same time.
Police are looking for a white youth aged between 14 to 16 who was described as slim, bewteen 5ft 2in and 5ft 4in with very short blond hair.
He was wearing a jade green sports T-shirt with a round neck, short sleeves and cream edging and either dark denim blue jeans or sports trousers and white trainers.
The victim remembered seeing the attacker in the same location last week but when he followed her, she asked what he wanted and he ran off.
Insp Shaun Moore of Meon Valley police, said: "We want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or anybody acting suspiciously in the area.
"Women walking in that location must be warned to be mindful of what has occurred."
